This week's all new Brainiac Awards have been handed out for creating brilliant poems, having a fantastic can do attitude and even a fantastic class assembly.

This week in school…
 
Year 3 – have been working on their own exciting legends about Robin Hood and his Merry Men. In science, they have been creating their very own fossils!
Year 4 – have been retelling stories of their own choosing in English. They have also been dividing using a variety of methods and applying their skills to problem solving. They continue to learn about Ancient Egyptians too.
Year 5 – have completed their narrative poems based on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Year 6 – have loved learning about the capital cities of North America.

This week, Snowdrop's Class assembly was based on pitching their cake business ideas to the dragons in the den using some fantastically edited adverts.

Year 3 Victorian Day

This week our Year 3 classes got to experience a day in the life of a Victorian school child. They dressed up and even worked on slate and chalk! Buttercup class said they loved using the chalk and slate and Daisy class loved how the old pen and inkwells worked! They even liked wearing the dunces hats!

This week in school…
 
Year 3 – have been writing myths and legends in English and learned all about fossils in Science!
Year 4 – have been busy trying to change the school by writing persuasive letters to Miss Digweed. In Maths, they have made some outstanding progress in multiplication.
Year 5 – have been writing poetry based on Roald Dahl’s ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’.
Year 6 – have been improving their mental arithmetic scores, aiming to beat their scores each week!

This week's Learning Warrior awards have been given out for having fantastic curiosity, excellent ability to think outside the box and overcoming barriers in arithmetic tests! Nice job guys!
