Wraparound Childcare At IVJS

Picture
We run our very own before school breakfast club and after school club in our school diner.

The Early Birds club gives parents/guardians the opportunity to leave their child from 7.30am until school starts at 8.40am in the morning, where they will have the option of having breakfast UNTIL 8.15am. This includes cereals, toast and fruit.
Parents can also extend their child’s school day up until 5pm (Friday until 4.30pm) by booking them into our Bluebells club. Children will take part in group activities or play on the playground (weather dependant) until 4.15pm. Children will then be offered food including crackers, wraps, ham, cheese, fruit etc.

Both clubs are run by the staff of the Iver Village Junior School and they are DBS-checked and trained in safeguarding procedures in line with school policy.

Bookings

Children will only be able to attend Early Birds and Bluebells if parents have signed up by 3pm the day before they wish them to attend. Numbers will be reviewed regularly but in the event of over-booking, priority will be given to children on a first come first served basis. You will also be able to amend your booking on School Money until 3pm the day before - should your needs change.

Parents should book the days they wish their child/children to attend either online, in person or by the phone. Parents must receive confirmation that spaces are available. Ad-hoc (one-off) bookings can also be made on the day providing there is enough space as we need to ensure we have the staff. All fees can be paid when booking on School Money. Early Birds & Bluebells Club reserves the right to either exclude or refuse to accept a child if fees are overdue or if parents are consistently late for collection.

Refunds will only be issued if cancellations are made before 3pm the previous day. By booking a place, parents/guardians agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this policy, including the payment and fine structure.

Bookings and payments are made through our School Money System at Eduspot.co.uk and log in via the Parental Login (not school login).

For parents who pay by childcare vouchers, please contact the School Business Manager to make sure your School Money account is set up to book with your vouchers.

Payment

Starting Autumn Term 2025-2026, we will be insisting that all charges for clubs are paid in full at the time of booking. If payment is not made when booking either online or by phone, then your child/children will not be allowed to attend Early Birds or Bluebells. All outstanding payments on School Money must be cleared in full before any future bookings can be made. Please note: for parents who pay using childcare vouchers, please contact the School Business Manager who will be able to set your account to book by ‘reservation’

Late Collection after school/Late Collection from Bluebells / Non-Booking Fines

School finishes at 3:15 every day, we know that it is not always easy to arrive on time to collect your child/children therefore we will hold any child who has not been collected until 3:25pm. After that time, they will be entered into our Bluebells after school childcare and you will be charged the standard club rate of £4 (3:15pm to 4:15pm), plus a £4 non-booking fee (see below).

Spaces for clubs are limited because we must ensure that we have the correct staffing for those children on the list - therefore we cannot accept children who have not pre-booked online or in person by 3pm the day before. Should you send your child/children to club without booking, you will be subject to a £4 non-booking fee per child, per club.
We also reserve the right to fine parents £4 per 5 mins that you are late collecting your child/ children from Bluebells after it closes at 5pm (4.30pm on Fridays).

Please read our latest clubs policy for more details on our late and non booking fees here: Policies & Statements
