IVJS Wellbeing Statement
We put wellbeing at the heart of our school.
We understand wellbeing as a state of being comfortable, healthy and happy. We will drive the message forward, to ensure that mental health is everyone’s priority across the whole school community.
We will strive to create an environment, which has a whole school approach, in providing excellent

Believe – Everyone in the school community will believe in themselves and each other
Achieve – Everyone in the school community will be supported in achieving more than they ever thought they could

Objective 1: The school has a clear vision and strategy for promoting and protecting emotional wellbeing and mental health, which is communicated to all involved with the school.
Objective 2: The school has a positive culture which regards the emotional wellbeing and mental health as the responsibility of all.
Objective 3: The school actively promotes staff emotional wellbeing and mental health.
Objective 4: The school prioritises professional learning and staff development on emotional wellbeing and mental health.
Objective 5: The school understands the different types of emotional and mental health needs across the whole-school community and has systems in place to respond appropriately.
Objective 6: The school actively seeks the ongoing participation of the whole-school community in its approach to emotional wellbeing and mental health.
Objective 7: The school works in partnerships with other schools, agencies and available specialist services to support emotional wellbeing and mental health.

Don't forget, there should always be time to make sure we all think about our own well being and the well being of those around us. We have put a few resources below to help everyone take a few minutes out to make sure we are all ok!
