The last few weeks have been truly festive with our many Choir performances, the Lower School production of Hosana Rock and the wonderful Carol Concert. We really hope this has put you all in the festive mood as much as it has done with all of us.
From everyone here at the Iver Village Junior School, have a very Merry Christmas and and fantastic New Year. Here are just some of our wonderful pupils who received certificates for being so well behaved, not one of these pupils moved down a level all term!
The new class teacher for Primrose class is Miss Trainor who is very excited about starting at IVJS.
Miss Egerton joined us in September as a long term supply to replace Miss O’Neil and has been a great class teacher. Year 3 – have worked really hard rehearsing for Hosanna Rock and blew us all away with their amazing performances. They have also been writing formal letters about a terrible experience we have had at the movies. Year 4 – have been learning about fractions, in particular adding and subtracting them. They also began to read Oliver Twist in preparation for writing a diary entry from his perspective. Year 5 – have been learning about the local area and thinking about the improvements that could be made. Year 6 – have been learning about the Mayan Creation Story and writing their own version. Click here to view the full letter. As is tradition in Iver Village Junior School we have a party to celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of the next. The party for children in years 3 and 4 is on Tuesday 15th December.
Click here to view the full letter. Year 5's will be participating in swimming lessons next term. Swimming lessons are held at the Chalfont Leisure Centre on Fridays and transport is provided to and from the pool. Swimming will start on Friday 8th January 2015.

Please note that no literacy homework has been given to children in the lower school this week. They are instead expected to practice their lines for the school play.
