Year 4 Hazard Alley Trip

27/5/2016

A visit is being organised from the school for pupils in Year 4 to Hazard Alley Safety Centre in Milton Keynes. The purpose of the visit is to help educate children about the hazards of the modern world and to improve safety in the community. The activities will include role play of different scenarios to deliver important messages about road, railway and water safety, the consequences of crime, how vandalism and anti-social behaviour affects others and lots more.  We are also hoping that we will be able to have a picnic lunch so keep your fingers crossed for good weather!

IVJS Weekly Bulletin - 20 May 2016

20/5/2016

This week in school…
Year 3 – have been writing their own diary entries from the points of view of a bee as well as learning all about the life cycle of a plant and planting their own flowers!
Year 4 – have been planning and drafting an informative leaflet on volcanoes explaining how and where they are formed. They have used research from Humanities lessons and their homework. They have also looked at statistics and learnt about bar and time graphs.
Year 5 – have continued to create codes for their very own computer games! Some of our Year 5’s have also visited Burnham Grammar to represent our school in their Maths Challenge Day.
Year 6 – have discovered that their production will be Oliver so they have written a film review this week.
