A Letter to Year 5 from Burnham Grammar School

20/5/2016

PGL 2017 (For Current Year 4s)

16/5/2016

We have provisionally booked a 4-night residential visit to the Windmill Hill near Hailsham, Sussex from Monday 9th  October – Friday 13th October 2017. The visit includes a full programme of activities and is similar to those we have run in the past. The group will be accompanied by teaching staff from the school and fully qualified instructors at the centre supervise each activity. Whilst the trip is not essential for curriculum purposes, it provides an excellent opportunity for children to extend their learning and to refine their personal and social skills. A meeting for parents giving detailed arrangements will be held nearer the time.

Attendance Challenge!

13/5/2016

Picture
This week has seen one  of our best weeks for attendance, Year 6 even got 100% so well done to everyone!

This has inspired Miss Digweed to set a challenge for the school:

Challenge 1: If we get 100% attendance across the whole school for a day, everyone will get an extra break time!

Challenge 2:  If we get 100% attendance across the whole school for a full week, every pupil will get an ice cream!

Now if that doesn't persuade you to be in school everyday to continue your learning journey, then I don't know what will.

Are you up for the challenge?
