We cannot believe that the end of the school year has come around so quickly; sadly, we are unable to do many of the usual end of year celebrations that we had planned due to Covid-19. However, we are planning the following events:
Firstly, we know how much the children love their end of year Production in Year 6, but we are aware that we will not be able to invite parents in to see the show. Therefore, we have decided to be a bit creative and do something that we have never done before and ‘film’ the production. The children will be performing ‘Pirates of the Curry Bean’ and this will be available to view on the website during the last week of term. Secondly, we are planning an end of year ‘treat’ for the Year 6 children … details are being finalised and more information will be available very soon. Finally, we have planned a 'Virtual Leavers’ Assembly' that we think the children will enjoy. The plan is that the children will see the assembly in school and then this same presentation will be made available on the school website for parents to watch from Friday 16th July. In order to make this a memorable event, we need your help. We would really appreciate receiving a couple of photographs of your child over the years including ones from the infants and maybe even some with their friends. These will be collated into a nice photo album, so only send them if you are happy for them to be used in this way. The deadline for sending in photos will be Friday 2nd July. Please email them to [email protected]. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support this year, especially with home learning. It is not the year that we had planned for the children but we are so very proud of how they have matured and coped with such a strange and unprecedented situation. We hope that one day in the future, when all of this is over, they might pop back and see us. Comments are closed.
