![]() This Week In School… Year 3 – have finished writing their Just So Stories and are busy turning them into picture books for younger children to enjoy. In Maths, they have been looking at telling the time on different clocks. Miss Short and Miss Couves are very impressed with Year 3's hard work this term! Year 4 – have been working on division and multiplication word problems in Maths. In English, they have been writing chapter seven of 'Noah Barleywater Runs Away'. In Humanities, they have been learning all about the Ancient Egyptian God and Goddesses and their children. They have also been presenting their projects about journeys and have been amazed at the brilliant ideas and creativity shown in both classes. Year 5 – have unfortunately come to the end of their space topic; the children have created a leaflet based on all of their science knowledge this term as well as a fantastic balanced argument! Maths has been a week of consolidating their knowledge on fractions, decimals and percentages - they are pros at finding percentages of an amount, which is perfect for finding a good bargain in the shops! They have also brought their anglo-saxon topic to a close, leaving many shocked (and feeling very lucky that we weren't around then) at the gruesome punishments they received! Year 6 – have worked really hard on their assessments this week and everyone has been impressed with the efforts they have made. As well as undertaking tests, they have been finalising and publishing their conclusions to their book, Rooftoppers and have also been finishing their topic on Rivers by writing a non-chronological report on the impact of dams. They have also finalised their Science topic about light by dissecting an eye. Comments are closed.
