Weekly Bulletin - 4th May 2018

This Week In School…
 
Year 3 – have read the story of “The Singing Ringing Rain tree” and explored the thoughts and feelings of the different characters. We have started to write a letter from the perspective of the Prince explaining the sacrifices he made throughout the story. In maths, we have worked on developing our understanding of written methods of calculations and applying them in different ways.
Year 4 – have been writing a biography in the role of Edward Tulane. In maths, we have been looking at the properties of 2D shapes including lines of symmetry and different types of angles.
Year 5 – have been creating a persuasive argument based on our book, 'Cosmic' in English. In Maths, they have looked at properties of a rectangles as well as 3D shapes. In Science, they have taken a cut-off from a spider plant and will be observing it’s grown during the next couple of weeks.
Year 6 – have been practising our mathematical reasoning skills in preparation for the SATs. In English we have published persuasive letters using emotive language.
