![]() This Week In School… Year 3 – have been investigating crime scene found out Tuesday morning in our playground! Look out for their newspaper reports about the situation next week. In Maths, they have been learning the expanded method of column multiplication for 2 and 3 digit numbers. Year 4 – have begun reading their new class book, Varjak Paw. They have written an informal letter to Elder Paw asking for his advice. In Maths, they have begun looking at multiplication and finding factor pairs of numbers. In Art, they’ve learned about the importance of Remembrance Day and have created a special poppy piece of work. Year 5 – have been learning all about the timeline of key events, which has related well to their Power of Reading book: Odysseus. In Maths, they have been learning about statistics, it's been great understanding exactly how to interpret graphs and start to create their own, based on data that they have collected themselves. They have also been lucky enough to have a special visitor from the Iver Parish council in this week, who explained all about Remembrance day - they spent the afternoon looking at pictures, old uniform and even some medals from old soldier! Year 6 – have started to write a newspaper report linked to their Power of Reading book, The Last Wild. Prior to this, they spent some time analysing newspaper reports and identifying the features of newspapers. In Maths, they have been looking at the recent tests the children completed in order to address any misconceptions they may have had. Comments are closed.
