This Week In School…
Year 3 – have been busy finishing writing up their diary entry about the Iron Man in English. They have used lots of description and used their feelings and thoughts to empathise with a character. In Maths, the children have been busy working out the perimeter of polygons.
Year 4 – have been busy preparing for their Christmas Production next week. In English, they have been writing instructions about how to make a robot from recycled items. In Maths, they have started learning about division. Year 5 – have been continuing their learning about the Greeks by writing a diary entry of Odysseus’ voyage back to Ithaca as well as learning about the Battle of Marathon. In Maths, they have been continuing to develop their arithmetic skills in division, learning the long method.
Year 6 – have been very busy creating Christmas crafts for the Christmas Fair; they have been very productive and have made Christmas cards, crackers, tree decorations, Olafs and snowy slime! They will be running stalls selling these at the Fair in the Upper School shared area on Saturday. As well as this, in English, the children have been continuing to write a detailed newspaper report about an outbreak of varmints and have been learning how to multiply and divide fractions in Maths.
