![]() This Week In School… Year 3 – have been learning about the fractions of numbers in Maths and in English, have been writing an instruction manual, inspired by their book, Oliver and the Seawigs, to explain how we can all build our own Seawig! Year 4 – have been writing a poem about school after taking inspiration from their current book, Werewolf Club Rules. In Maths they have been concentrating on adding and subtracting fractions that have the same denominator. In Humanities, they have delved into the life of Henry VIII and been writing fact files about one of England’s most famous monarchs. Dahl class have also been practising for their class assembly. Year 5 – have been working really hard on adding and subtracting fractions this week, some of them have really pushed themselves and have begun to tackle SATs style questions! In English, they have started writing a poem about AJ's trainers, it's been fantastic to see how effortlessly Year 5 have created their own rhyming couplets. Year 6 – have been working hard to publish their stories about a sinking ship and many of these are now on display. The children have now started working on writing a diary entry from the perspective of the main character in their new book, Rooftoppers. In Maths, they have been learning about the properties of shape. Comments are closed.
