This Week In School…
Year 3 – have been very busy today cooking! There are some amazing smells coming from the lower school kitchen… They have also been writing diary entries as Hogarth (one of the characters from The Iron Man) in English and been continuing to practise the formal method of division in Maths, now that is a busy week!
Year 4 – have been working on a script in order to produce a News programme based around their text this term, ‘Varjak Paw’. In Maths, they have been working on short division and will be using their scaling skills to help them with the correct amount of ingredients for when they bake their healthy carrot muffins for the Family Maths Games Night.
Year 5 – have explored soluble and insoluble materials by doing an experiment to see how they could separate various materials from water. They also jumped headfirst into multiplication and continued to take their journey through Ancient Greece! They took a little trip to Italy, as they used their garden tomatoes to make mini pizzas.
Year 6 – have been learning about the features of and writing play scripts. In Maths, they have continued learning about fractions and in Science, the children have been looking at micro-organisms. They also enjoyed baking broccoli and cauliflower bites as part of our Healthy Eating project this year.
