This week in school…
Year 3 – have very much enjoyed Science Day and have had a blast transferring some of this new knowledge to their own Science work. Alongside this, they have written their own articles about their day and had fun interviewing some helpful Year 6s! Year 4 – have been identifying the features of diary entries. They have begun drafting their very own diary entry about the fantastic day the Science Wizard came to IVJS. In Maths, they have been converting improper fractions to mixed numbers and converted fractions into decimals. Year 5 – have been learning about improper and mixed fractions. They have also completed their recipes for chocolate biscuits thinking hard about up-levelling their writing by including adverbials and conjunctions. Year 6 – have had a ball on Science Day learning about forces and gravity. They’ve studied different environments, made huge progress in their Maths arithmetic and have written a powerful descriptive story called ‘The Graveyard’. Their enthusiasm is endless!
