This Week In School… Year 3 – have written a descriptive poem about a pebble in English and in Maths, they have been looking at measures including capacity, length and weight. In Science, they have been learning about the famous palaeontologist Mary Anning while in Humanities, they are continuing to learn about prehistoric Britain. Year 4 – have been writing a narrative in English for the next chapter in their book, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. In Maths, they have been investigating decimals in relation to money and have been creating their perfect playground based on a budget. In Science, they have been writing a persuasive letter to try and minimise the negative effects on habitats from HS2. Year 5 – have been busy reflecting shapes in Maths and have become whizzes at using co-ordinates! In English, they have been learning all about the Tardigrade and created a fantastic character description. Alongside this, their knowledge on China is expanding and they have learned all about the various festivals that are celebrated in the Chinese culture. Year 6 – have worked really hard this week as they have finally completed their SATs - we are very proud of all the effort they have put in. Well done Year 6! As well as completing their tests, the children have continued with their Art topic and have produced their own versions of an Andy Warhol picture. Comments are closed.
