Weekly Bulletin - 16th November 2018

This Week In School…
Year 3 – have had a very excited week coming up with descriptions of the Iron Man and coming up with poems based on their descriptions. In Maths, they have started learning the formal method for division.
Year 4 – have been creating a newspaper report based around the ‘vanishings’ in Varjak Paw. In Maths, they have been working on short multiplication and learning about scaling, perfect for recipes! They have also started learning about volcanoes in Humanities and what sound actually is in Science!
Year 5 – have been learning about combustion by watching how items burn. They have also been planning their narrative on Odysseus and the Cyclops. Morpurgo have been getting stuck into their class assembly based on Michael Morpurgo, the Fresh Prince of St Albans…
Year 6 – have started learning all about fractions in Maths and have been publishing their newspaper reports in English - we are looking forward to reading the final versions.  At the beginning of the week, they had an internet safety session with a representative from CEOP, part of the National Crime Agency, which they found very interesting and informative.
