Weekly Bulletin - 14th October 2016

This week in school…
Year 3 – have been thinking about using their maths skills in real life by counting up coins and finding change. They have also worked hard to develop descriptive language in their stories and are ready to be published.
Year 4 – have been creating their very own fables which have a strong moral and teach a valuable lesson. In Maths, they have been consolidating their understanding of estimation and using this to check their answers. They have also learnt how to use the inverse.
Year 5 – have been writing up their Coke and Mentos experiment using detailed scientific vocabulary. In Maths, they have been looking at rounding and estimation when working out word problems.
Year 6 – have been studying poetry techniques and have started to produce some great poems. In Maths, they have started to look at efficient written methods for multiplication and division. Everyone also looked fantastic in their costumes this week!
