Parent Governor Vacancy and Nominations

10/1/2017

There is currently a vacancy for a governor directly elected by the parents and I am therefore writing
to invite nominations. No formal qualifications are required; you just need common sense, time,
enthusiasm and a commitment to working as part of a team to make a difference for all the children at
our School. Being a school governor can provide an opportunity to develop a wide range of
transferable skills.

I’m pleased to tell you that we will be working with the NSPCC, the UK’s leading children’s charity, who’ll be delivering their ‘Speak out. Stay safe.’ programme on the 17th January during an assembly and then further work with our Year 5s and 6s on the 26th January. This is a nationwide programme for every primary-school-aged child in the UK. With the help of their friendly mascot Buddy, they’ll be presenting an assembly and workshop to the children in our school.
