A very warm welcome back to school for 2021/2022 on Thursday 2nd September at 8:45am. As the rules around COVID-19 have started to relaxed many things will return to how they were before the pandemic but we will also be keeping some of the ‘new ways’ because they worked so well. Before and After School In the mornings, 8:45am children will be dropped off at the front of school (the same as they do now) and stand on the grass and wait until the gates are opened – all children need to be in school by 8:55am At the end of the day, we have decided to continue to dismiss from the grass at the front of school but the timings will have changed. 3:15pm Years 3 and 6 3:20pm Years 4 and 5. We would like to encourage as many older children in years 5 and 6 to walk home. If you would like your child to walk home from school then please contact Miss Lainsbury on the front desk to arrange for an online form to be completed. The school office will remain closed to parents for the time being, if you need to contact Miss Lainsbury, please give the office a call, send an email or speak to a member of staff outside before and after school. On those PE Days all children will be required to wear their PE Kit to school throughout the day – there will be no need for uniform. The PE Kit to be worn should be: Plain white T-Shirt Black shorts Black Trainers for outdoor games and playtimes Plain Black/Grey track suit may be worn for outdoor sports in Winter Wraparound Childcare At IVJS – new for September 2021 Energy Kidz will now provide wraparound childcare here at IVJS. The club is held on our school site and offer places to children from both the Infant and Junior schools. All bookings and payments will be made directly through Energy Kidz.
