![]() This Week In School… Year 3 – have finished writing their adventure stories this week and Miss Short and Miss Couves have really enjoyed reading them! In Maths, they have started to look at fractions - comparing, ordering, adding and subtracting them. Year 4 – have finished writing their biographies in English. In Maths, they have continued looking at simplifying and converting fractions and have continued to work hard on their times tables. In Humanities, they have been learning about the many kings and queens that have ruled over England, from William the Conqueror to Henry the VIII and up to our current monarch, Elizabeth II. Year 5 – have been writing a newspaper report on AJ's experience at the Olympic games. In Maths, they have really challenged themselves learning how to convert fractions into improper fractions and mixed numbers. They have also learnt how to find a fraction of an amount. Year 5 are especially looking forward to starting their rehearsals for the exciting Echoes project where 30 Year 5s will be performing at the Royal Albert Hall! Year 6 – have been working hard to complete and publish their narratives about a sinking ship. They have also enjoyed painting their Picasso portraits which look very effective. The children enjoyed a great workshop on circus skills at the end of the week to link with their new book, Rooftoppers. Comments are closed.
