![]() This Week In School… Year 3 – have revised the 4 mathematical operations and in English, have been writing an informal letter from the perspective of a character from Oliver and the Seawigs. Year 4 – have concluded their decimal work by rounding decimals to the nearest whole number and solving money and measurement problems. In English, they have had an exciting week planning and making a film trailer for a movie based on one of the poems the classes have been working on. In Humanities, Year 4 have been comparing Elizabeth I and Queen Victoria, two of our countries greatest monarchs. Year 5 – have finished their letter to Usain Bolt - they are hoping they might get a reply answering all of the fantastic questions Year 5 had for him! In Maths, their unit of fractions has come to an end - they have learned how to add, subtract, multiply, divide and even convert decimals into fractions this half term! Year 5 have been so busy practising for Echoes as well as having great fun with girl’s football that they are going to continue their Art/DT project next half term, so please make sure you save your shoe boxes – Year 5 will be needing them! Year 6 – have been working hard on their Mock SATs. As well as this, they have had a week of completing various activities in Humanities, Science and RE as they conclude their topics in these areas, ready to start their new topics next half term.
