This month the article from the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child is Article 1. This article explains that every single child across the United Nations are entitled to the 54 articles. At the Iver Village Junior School we believe these rights must be put in place by all governments around the world. Children under the age of 18 should have a protected and safe beginning and as they grow they should be provided with opportunities to thrive educationally and socially. We want all children around the world to grow up to be honest, responsible, respectful, caring and confident global citizens.
At The Iver Village Junior School we are learning more about the struggles and injustice of other children under 18 around the world. These issues make us sad and we realise just how lucky we are to live in a peaceful country. This month’s Article is… Article 1 Everyone under the age of 18 has all the rights in the convention.
