The After School Clubs for this half term are now available to book. All clubs that you are able to book for each child will show as a payment on their School Money account (www.eduspot.co.uk).
Please do not pay this unless you want to book your child a space. The payments will not be available to pay for if the spaces are full so if you have paid, please take that as confirmation of your child's place in the class. Clubs start next week - Monday 12th September and run through to the last week of the half term, the last club being Friday 21st October. All clubs are 3.15pm to 4.30pm with pick up at the front of the school. Clubs cost £7 per club and can be booked for the full half term (£42). We will be hosting a ZOOM meeting for parents on Thursday 29th September 2022 at 5:30pm to discuss the trip and answer any questions you may have. A text will be sent out closer to the time. Equipment: Children need to have a case with wheels - there is a walk from where the coach drops us to our cabins. Your child will be responsible for transporting their own case to their cabin. Please, please send your child with at least 2 pairs of old trainers. If one pair gets wet, they will need the spare! If your child displays illness we will contact you as soon as possible and ask you to come and collect your child directly from Windmill Hill. Please note, by sending your child on the trip, you understand that you are responsible for their travel to/from the PGL grounds should they need to travel privately due to illness. Pocket Money: Please note that we will not be taking pocket money as children will not be using the shop on the site. Children will be bringing this information home on a paper copy with a reply slip and a medical form. Please return both forms back to school as soon as possible. Kindest regards, Mr P Clifford Deputy Headteacher Return to School on 6th September 2022: A very warm welcome back to school for 2022/2023 on Tuesday 6th September at 8:45am. Before and After School: In the mornings, children will arrive at school where their classroom doors will be open from 8:40am – all children need to be in school by 8:45am otherwise they will be deemed as late once registration closes. At the end of the day, children will be dismissed from the grass at the front of school and the timings will stay the same. Please wait behind the white line for your child to be dismissed.
The school office will remain closed to parents for the time being, if you need to contact Miss Lainsbury, please give the office a call, send an email or speak to a member of staff outside before and after school. PE Days: On those PE Days all children will be required to wear their PE Kit to school throughout the day – there will be no need for uniform.

PLEASE NOTE, THERE WILL NO P.E. ON THE FIRST DAY OF TERM Wraparound Childcare at IVJS – new for September 2022: Our After School childcare club, Bluebells, will run from 3.15 - 5.30pm in the Lower School shared learning area. Breakfast club will be in our Diner each morning 7.30am - 8.30am. Please see our childcare club page for further details. Please note places must be booked and paid for at least 24 hours in advance. Illness: If your child is too ill to attend school you must notify the school office each morning. This can be done by calling 01753 653059 or by emailing the school office, office@ivjs.school Attendance: As you will be aware, schools are held accountable for children’s attendance. All children are expected to attend school unless they are ill (holidays will not be authorised). Punctual attendance is essential for effective learning, promoting positive relationships and developing good attitudes to education. Good attendance is considered above 95%, or approximately no more than one day of absence each half term. Break-time snacks: At break times children are welcome to bring a healthy snack (fruit/cereal bar) to eat at breaktime – please note that children will not be allowed to eat crisps and chocolate bars.
