Admissions and Consents Forms
We have made online versions of our usual paper admissions form and consents form (see above). The admission form is basic pupil information including medical and dietary requirements that we require for your child starting school while the consent form is for parents to give permissions for school activities i.e. using the internet/school trips and contains the IVJS Privacy Policy.
All the information regarding the policies and agreements referred to by the Consents Form can be found here:
https://www.ivervillage-jun.bucks.sch.uk/consents-for-parents.html
Should you have any further queries relating to any of our policies or agreements, please call or email
admin@ivervillage-jun.bucks.sch.uk
Paper copies of these forms are available on request.

On the week beginning Monday 13th July, all IVJS children will be taking part in a new look Sports Day and would love if you joined in!
Pupils will be able to compete, whether they are at school or at home. We are planning to do five simple stations which involve limited equipment (details on the next page).
If you will be competing in Sports Day from home, please send your best score for each event to shawkes5@bucksgfl.org.uk by 3pm on Thursday 16th July.
It would be amazing if we could get multiple scores from home for each event (parents, siblings etc.), alongside pictures and videos of you competing!

Did you have fun with last week's PE challenges? Would you like some more?
Game Three- Target Throw Challenge One- Standing in one place, throw the balls (socks) into your target. Repeat until you get 3/3. Challenge Two- Move your target or starting position so that you are ten steps away from target. Challenge Three- Standing in on one leg, throw the balls (socks) into the same target the same distance away. Repeat until you get 3/3. Challenge Four- From a seated balance, throw the balls (socks) into the target. Challenge Five- Facing backwards throw the balls (socks) over your shoulder or head into the target. Game Four- Tic Tac Toe Markers can be positioned into a tic tac toe style grid. Find different coloured objects and split them between two players. This can be anything you can find such as t-shirts, socks or pencils. Each player needs to have their own colour. Run out and position your colour in a square, then person number two goes. Continue until one player has three in a row! You cannot stay at the markers for more than 10 seconds before returning. Quick Decisions! Make it more challenging by: Repeat – Winner gets to go first Move the markers further apart Reduce the amount of time spent at the markers. Create a larger arena and play connect 4. |

Just in case any of you need any more to do this week, why don't you make yourself into a superhero?
Our PE Coach has also put together some games and challenges for you to try out!
Game One – Clap Catch
Challenge One- Standing in one place, throw the ball into the air (not too high) and catch. Cup your hand and watch where the ball will land to cup. Do five without dropping and then move onto challenge two.
Challenge Two- Standing in one place, throw the ball into the air. Keeping your eye on the ball at all times, your hands must clap together one time before cupping the ball safely again.
Challenge Three- Standing in one place, throw the ball into the air. Keeping your eye on the ball at all times, your hands must clap together two times before cupping the ball safely again.
Challenge Four- Standing in one place, throw the ball into the air. Keeping your eye on the ball at all times, your hands must clap together more than two times before cupping the ball safely again. Try and get as many claps as you can before catching the ball again.
Game Two – Balance Beam
Challenge One- Starting with a standing balance, hold your balance for 8 seconds.
Challenge Two- Try a new balance: can you sit and balance? Can you lie down and balance? Can you think of your own balance?
Challenge Three- Choose a balance that you are comfortable with and start by placing the ball on a body part that you wish. Try and stay balanced and keep the ball balanced at the same time.
Challenge Four- Standing in one place, balance yourself and the ball into a position of your choice. Can you add a second ball to your balance? Or a third?
Challenge Five- Using one ball balanced on your body can you move from one position to another without the ball falling off?

We are another week closer and although transition days in the Junior School aren't happening, we still want to get to know you! Create a self portrait to display in your new class in September. You can use the template to help you.
We have also had one of our current Year 3's write a poem for our Year 2's about IVJS. Thanks Arjun!
New school you just have to be cool
Let me mention the features
Starting from the teachers
You might have Miss short
Who is good at literature
Or you might have Miss Couves
Who is a master of the moves
School is cool and don’t be a fool to miss it
Everyday is fun for everyone
You might see Miss Digweed,
Your Head Teacher
Or you might see Mr Clifford,
Your Deputy Head Teacher
School is cool and don’t be a fool to miss it
Everyday is fun for everyone
The playground is huge and there is shelter too
And it caters to everyone who wants to have fun
School is cool and don’t be a fool to miss it
Everyday is fun for everyone

Welcome to the Year 2 to Year 3 Transition page! We will be adding information for both pupils and parents throughout the summer to make transition just that little bit easier this year.
Miss Couves and Miss Short have added a few bits for our Year 2 to think about before they start with us in September. Please remember that you are always welcome to call or email the school office if you have any quieries.
