Dear Parents / Guardians, As part of the Science curriculum, Year 6 have been learning about light, how we see things and the eye. In order to help the children to better understand how the eye works, we have an exciting lesson planned for Thursday 28th March in the afternoon. They will get the opportunity to watch an eye being dissected, as well as taking part in a dissection of an eye themselves. If they want to just observe the dissection, this is fine, but they will have the chance to take a more ‘hands-on’ role should they wish. Gloves will be provided and there will be adult supervision at all times. No child will be encouraged to participate with the dissection more than they are comfortable with and if they do not wish to participate please let us know. If your child does not wish to take part in this lesson, please inform the class teacher, in writing, by Friday morning, 22nd March. Yours sincerely, R Bjorck S Bowden Comments are closed.
