Ok, we mean the chocolate factory but that’s still pretty exciting! This week, 20 children from year six were invited to the Mars head office to share their dreams for the future with the staff. Mars hosted a day in which their team were encouraged to think about the future and how their company can plan for it with the next generation in mind. A workshop started with the children voicing their concerns for the future. Themes suggested included global warming, pollution and our impact on the environment. They then participated in a product planning meeting where they shared their ideas and began designing a healthy snack with solutions to their concerns in mind. The children were incredibly mature and represented our school fantastically – three children even presented their homework project to the staff members. Well done to everyone for their hard work and maturity both on the day and when completing their homework.
