The theme for World Book Day 2018-2020 is SHARE A STORY, as we want to keep spreading
the word about the importance of families sharing stories for just 10 minutes a day, anywhere, any time, to inspire parents and carers to get involved in creating readers for life. We will out SHARE A STORY at the heart of our World Book Day celebrations with an assembly that will get children thinking about books, who they would like to share them with and when. All of the staff came dressed as Giraffes, in celebration of the book 'Giraffe's Can't Dance' by Giles Andreae. Outcomes of the day: • The children will be encouraged to keep reading and to explore different kinds of books. • The children will be keen to share stories with different people they know and to read at different times during the day. • The children will each take home the £1 WBD book of their choice - and be enthused to read it. https://www.worldbookday.com Comments are closed.
