![]() This Week In School… Year 3 – have finished their newspaper reports about the Iron Man who flew into Iver (landing in our playground of all places!) and began to apply their mathematical understanding to the written method of multiplication. Year 4 – have been looking at newspapers and the key features used to write newspaper reports. In Maths, they have been using the expanded method of multiplication to solve increasingly more difficult calculations. They have also been working hard on their Christmas production! Year 5 – have been learning about Ancient Greece! They learned about the differences between Athens and Sparta, and continued reading about the great journey of Odysseus. They also continued to explore Greek art and music, to help them gear up to their Greek Day in December! Year 6 – have been working hard on writing a newspaper report linked to their book, 'The Last Wild'. In Guided Reading, they have also been reading a book called 'Line of Fire', which is a diary written by an unknown French soldier during two months at the start of World War 1. They have found this book really interesting as we approach the centenary of the end of World War 1. They also did their shared assembly this week, giving the rest of us an insight into what the children did whilst they were away at PGL or whilst they did activities in Iver. Comments are closed.
