This Week In School… Year 3 – have been focusing on the concept of time and revising how to tell the time. They have been finishing up their biographies about the fictional character, Gregory Cool and working incredibly hard on their assessments! Year 4 – have been busy creating some unique animals in English and have written a set of instructions explaining how to make new animals such as the Flybee (fly + bee), the Butterphant (butterfly + elephant) and the Cheog (cheetah + dog). In Maths, they have been looking at quadrilaterals and have even been outside, working in groups to make shapes by including the properties of them. In Humanities, they have had an exciting afternoon re-enacting Boudicca’s rebellion. In DT, they started planning their healthy pizzas by including a selection of seasonal veg. Year 5 – have been working hard at their mock SATs for assessment week - everyone has been doing an amazing job, persevering through the tests and we are very proud of them! In Maths, they have been exploring time and the difference between digital and analogue time while in Science, they have started an end of year project on life cycles and they are looking beautiful! They are also designing bread in DT and deciding on some delicious fillings that they want to add to the dough! Year 6 – have spent a lot of their time rehearsing for the production and have worked really hard - it is definitely all taking shape! In Humanities, the children are coming to the end of their topic on the Mayan civilisation and have been thinking about what may have caused the decline of the ancient civilisation. They have also been looking at influential thinkers in Humanism as part of their RE topic. Comments are closed.
