![]() This Week In School… Year 3 – have begun learning about the formation of rocks and started their stories about a pebble’s journey from formation through to being in our playground. In Maths, they have been applying their formal methods of calculation to a variety of mathematical problems. Year 4 – have begun reading their new book The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane and have been discussing the characteristics of Edward, the china rabbit. In Maths, they have started the term by looking at pictograms, bar charts and line graphs, answering questions about the data they show. They have also started learning how to tell the time in French and about coding in Computing. Year 5 – have explored Van Gogh and created a descriptive narrative based on Starry Night. They have learned about plant reproduction and have clipped their own plantlings for an experiment. In Maths, they have worked hard using protractors to measure angles as well as drawing their own as an activity. Year 6 – have settled back into their last term at Iver Village Junior School. This week in English, they have had a grammar focus in preparation for the forthcoming SATs. In Humanities, the children have started learning about the Mayan Civilisation and in Computing, they are starting to learn how to use Excel. Comments are closed.
