This Week In School… Year 3 – have finished writing their adventure stories and have worked hard to edit them. In Maths, they have begun to understand fractions including ordering and comparing fractions and identifying equivalent fractions as well as adding and subtracting them. Year 4 – have been looking at the exciting world of Norse myths. They have been focusing on character and setting description so that they are ready to produce an amazing Norse myth of their own next week. In Maths, they have been continuing their topic of fractions and have been applying them in word problems. In Science, they have completed their investigation into the weight of gases and have moved on to planning an experiment about melting points. Year 5 – have been writing a letter to Usain Bolt linked to their class story. In Maths, they have continued their ‘Fractions’ journey and have been cementing their knowledge of adding and subtracting a variety of fractions while in Art, they have loved creating their own Mehndi patterns for their India topic! Year 6 – have edited and published their incredible stories linked to their class text, 'Rooftoppers'. In Maths, they have learnt about the different types of angles and have used protractors to measure them. They have begun their new humanities topic on the continent of North America and have looked at the vast range of climates it has. Most of the class decided they would like to visit Canada because of the snow! Comments are closed.
