This week in school…
Year 3 – have been learning to use written methods to solve addition and subtraction problems. They have also written their own rhyming poems about superheroes after learning all about rhyming couplets. Year 4 – have been writing poems about their unsung heroes and lave learnt about a variety of poetry techniques. In Maths, they have been problem solving using a variety of strategies and have also been using the inverse operation to check calculations. Year 5 – have been editing and publishing their Coke and Mentos experiment write up in English and have finished their learning about Saxons. It has been a great week for behaviour and Daffodils moved back into their new (old) classroom! Year 6 – have been practising methods for multiplication and division, using increasingly harder questions and applying their knowledge to word problems. Well Done! In English, they have written some wonderful poetry using similes, metaphors and personification. Excellent Writing!
