![]() This Week In School… Year 3 – have started to write instructions on how to care for a Tiger using their English based text - The Tin Forest. In Maths, the children have started to learn multiplication methods and have been busy multiplying by 10 and 100. Year 4 – have been creating their own scripts based on the book Varjak Paw, ready to perform next week during their English lessons. In Maths, they have continued to look at subtraction and have extended their learning through solving word problems. In Science, they have been investigating food chains and comparing food chains from different ecosystems. In Humanities, they are consolidating their learning about Ghana by creating information leaflets. Year 5 – have been finishing their newspaper reports on the refugee crisis affecting Syria while in Maths, they have been focusing on reading and interpreting line graphs. In Science, they have been looking at reversible and irreversible changes. Year 6 – have been either enjoying this lovely weather in Sussex on their PGL residential trip (see next week’s bulletin for more) or been taking part in a load of fun activities here at school. The Year 6s who stayed with Mrs Bowden have been spending the week finding out about life during World War 2 including a trip to the local church to find out all about our local history.
