![]() This Week In School… Year 3 – have been exploring their understanding of fractions by conducting an investigation with chocolate! In Science, they have created their own fossils to replicate the fossil formation process. Year 4 – have been writing a diary entry as either Edward or Abilene from the novel 'The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane'. For Maths, they have been delving into the world of decimals, exploring fraction and decimal equivalents. In Science, they have been investigating how habitats can be destroyed through both human and natural events while in Humanities, Year 4 have been exploring the life of a poor roman living in the heart of Rome. In PSHE, they have created fact files on the importance of water as a resource. Year 5 – have explored angles on a line and polygons (what fun)! They also used drama to learn more about the metamorphoses process. In English, they finished up their creative narratives (there are a lot of gifted storytellers in Year 5)! Lastly, in Art, they have been practising painting sunflowers like Vincent Van Gogh. Year 6 – have worked really hard as they do their final revision and preparations for their SATs next week. The children have looked at specific focus areas in grammar, reading and maths where they needed to consolidate their understanding and we are confident that they are now ready to undertake the tests next week. Good luck Year 6! Comments are closed.
