![]() This year, we will be taking part in the National Schools Partnership's Big Battery Hunt! The focus will be on recycling, each child will be given their own box to fill with any empty, used batteries they may have lying around the house instead of putting them in the bin. Each year, over 20,000 tonnes of batteries end up in landfill sites across the UK. That's as heavy as about 4,000 elephants! Please help support our pupils by helping them collect batteries for their mini boxes (which can be emptied into the big battery container in our library), not only can they help do our bit for the planet but we may win some prizes for our efforts too!
