Today we welcomed volunteers from Primary Futures - their aim is to broaden horizons and raise aspirations by connecting schools to volunteers from the world of work to share their fascinating life stories and help make the connections between learning and future jobs. The programme is run in partnership with the National Association of Head Teachers, check out the website to learn more. https://educationandemployersprogrammes.force.com/s/
The day started with 5 volunteers partaking in a whole school assembly where we enjoyed the game 'What's My Line?' Children were invited to ask the volunteers questions about their job role that would only elicit a yes or no answer. The big reveal at the end was very exciting. After assembly, the visitors went into Year 6 to hold a 'Speed Networking' session where the classes were split into smaller groups and spent 6 minutes with each volunteer - hopefully inspiring them for the future... The 5 volunteers were fantastic and the children really enjoyed the day and got a great deal out of it. Comments are closed.
