![]() In order to maximise its impact, we carried out a survey to review Homework at Iver Village Junior School. As a result, we have decided to stop the current after-school Homework Club after Easter and replace it with a new lunchtime Homework Club which will take place every Monday starting on Monday 29th April. The club will take place in both lower school from 12:30-1:15 and upper school from 12.45pm – 1.30pm. The club is open to all pupils in the school but is not designed to replace the homework children do at home. It is for pupils who may have struggled to do part of their homework once they have attempted it over the weekend at home and need a little extra help. Pupils must have homework to complete when they attend the club but do not need to attend the Homework Club every week, just as and when they may need it. We hope this supports all pupils in taking responsibility for their learning at home in preparation for secondary school. If you have a concern about your child’s homework then please speak to their class teacher. Yours sincerely, Mr Clifford Deputy Head Teacher Comments are closed.
