Dear Parents and Carers, As we approach the end of another successful academic year at Iver Village Junior School, I am delighted to share with you some of the remarkable achievements and exciting developments that have taken place within our school community. First and foremost, I am immensely proud to announce that our Year 6 pupils have once again delivered outstanding SATs results for the second consecutive year. Our pupils have not only surpassed the national average but have also demonstrated exceptional performance, with a significant proportion working above the expected standard. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our pupils, the unwavering support of their families, and the tireless efforts of our committed staff. In addition to their academic success, our Year 6 students have showcased their creative talents through an amazing end-of-year production. It really did feel like a West End Show!
Our Year 5 pupils have also been in the spotlight recently, as they demonstrated their musical talents to parents with their incredible singing and violin playing. It was wonderful to see the progress they have made and the confidence they displayed in sharing their skills with the school community. Looking ahead to the next academic year, I would like to inform you of an important change regarding homework. We will be transitioning to an online platform called 'Century' for setting and submitting homework assignments. This innovative system will provide a more interactive and efficient way for pupils to engage with their home learning tasks. Detailed information on how to use the Century system will be sent out to all parents and carers in September. As we reflect on the achievements of this past year and look forward to the exciting opportunities that lie ahead, I am filled with pride and optimism for our school. The successes we have celebrated and the changes we are implementing are all aimed at providing the best possible educational experience for our pupils. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all our students, staff, parents, and carers for their continued support and dedication to Iver Village Junior School. Your commitment to our school's vision and values is what makes our community so special. I wish you all a wonderful summer break and look forward to welcoming everyone back for another exciting year of learning and growth in September. Miss Jill Digweed Comments are closed.
