Christmas Events 2021

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We have a range of festive dates to note for this year, here is everything you need to know for December. Full details below:

Monday 6th to Friday 10th December	IVJS Postbox Open
Monday 6th December	Iver Lights Switch On, IVJS Window Light Up
Friday 10th December	Christmas Jumper Day (£1 donation)/ ​​Hilton King and Locke Display Up
Wednesday 15th December	Non Uniform Christmas In A Day! Christmas Lunch/ Class Party/Carol Sing Along at 5.30pm
Friday 17th December	1pm Finish, No afterschool Childcare Club

• CHRISTMAS POST BOX OPENS: We will have a post box for Christmas cards set up in the school. The children can post Christmas cards to anyone in the school until 10th December ready for them to be delivered on Wednesday 15th.
• IVJS SWITCH ON: The school are taking part in this year's Iver Lights Switch On event! Our window will be lighting up on Monday 6th December, keep an eye out!
• CHRISTMAS HOUSES DESIGNS: Hilton King and Locke Estate Agents in Iver High Street will be displaying artwork created by some of our budding artists here at IVJS from Friday 10th December.
• CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY/WINTER JUMPER FRIDAYS: We will be celebrating Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 10th December, this is a non-uniform day where children can wear their most festive outfits for a £1 donation to  the Save The Children charity. We are also making each Friday in December winter themed! Children will also be allowed to wear any winter themed jumpers over their uniform on Friday 3rd and Friday 17th December.
• CHRISTMAS IN A DAY: On Wednesday 15th December, we will be having as much Christmas in a day as we can fit in! We will have the Dolce Christmas lunch, class parties and an evening Carol Concert!
  It will also be non-uniform day.

1. DOLCE CHRISTMAS LUNCH: Our diner have a traditional turkey roast dinner on the menu for the day, a roasted vegetable and stuffing tart vegetarian option or a jacket potato for anyone who prefers jackets! Please pre book your Christmas Lunch by 1st December. You can pre order on your child's Live Kitchen account or contact the school reception should you have any issues ordering.
2. CLASS PARTIES: Children will have their class parties on the Wednesday afternoon, after lunch. They will be watching a Christmas movie and we will provide popcorn for the children to snack on if they aren't too full from their Christmas lunches!
3. CAROL SING ALONG CONCERT: From 5.30pm on Wednesday 15th December - Children will be performing carols and festive songs they have learned in school in a performance for the local community. The event will be held at the front of the school (weather permitting) so our local community can enjoy the heavenly voices of our pupils. If your child would like to take part, please bring them to the school for 5.15pm. Parents are welcome to sing along!

• LAST DAY OF TERM: We will be finishing at 1pm. Reminder: there will not be any childcare clubs after school on that day.
