This week, pupils from IVJS attended an Active Schools festival, involving almost 200 schools from around Bucks and Milton Keynes. The children competed in many different sports, gaining points for their own partnerships. We teamed up with all the schools that we had been competing against all year, working together to become the top scoring partnership! IVJS had twelve athletes from Year 3 and 4 who competed with such heart and determination through testing heat! With almost 1300 children, it is fair to say it was tough competition but it didn't stop IVJS coming home with a Fair Play Award! Well done to all athletes what an amazing day! A huge well done to Connor who read an oath brilliantly at the opening ceremony and in front of such a huge crowd!
They Our Year 4 footballers attended a football tournament held in High Wycombe. IVJS competed against 16 other schools around Bucks and Berks and did incredibly well eventually winning three of their six games, drawing two and losing just one. Overall IVJS finished 3rd! Well done to all involved!
IVJS were lucky enough to attend a Year 3/4 Tennis Tournament competing against 6 schools in Buckinghamshire. IVJS showed amazing sportsmanship and skill - with a huge well done to Jujhar who won an award!
IVJS played their second league game against St Peters from Burnham before resting up to continue after Christmas! IVJS played with tremendous determination and skill eventually winning the game 3-1!
IVJS currently sit top of the league table. Men of the match: Tino and Calum |
