Year 3 – have been writing recipes for dreams inspired by The BFG by Roald Dahl. They have worked really hard to be descriptive and have even used imperative verbs. In Maths, they have worked on understanding fractions including equivalent fractions, adding and comparing them. Year 4 – have watched a clip from The Hobbit and begun planning and drafting their own adventure stories using the characters. In Maths, they have been learning to read and interpret information presented in graphs and charts. They even had a fantastic assembly this week where they got to present their volcano projects! Year 5 – have started rewriting a traditional tale with a twist, based on The Three Little Pigs in English. In Maths, they have been learning to convert various measurements including metric to imperial! Year 6 – have started their incredible end of year production, Dance Nation. They’ve started strong with great acting and enthusiastic singing. In English, they have used the story from Coraline as inspiration for a dramatic and descriptive diary entry.
