Important Information for Parents – Young Voices Concert (3rd February 2026)

Dear Parent/Carer,

We are excited to share final details for our upcoming Young Voices concert on Tuesday, 3rd February 2026. Our pupils have been working incredibly hard, and this promises to be a fantastic experience for everyone involved.

Schedule for the Day

· School departure: 12:00 pm
· Rehearsals: Afternoon session at the venue
· Concert begins: 7pm
· Collection from school: Expected return at 10:00 pm (We will keep you updated via text if there are any delays.)

What your child needs
· Packed lunch and tea/dinner (nut‑free/in a disposable bag)
· Plenty of water (in disposable plastic bottles)
· Young Voices T‑shirt (if you ordered one) or plain white t-shirt
· Comfortable trousers (black/grey) and shoes

Audience Tickets
If you have purchased tickets to attend the concert:
· Doors for audience members usually open around 6pm
· Please ensure you bring your ticket (paper or digital)
· Young Voices operate a strict security procedure, so arrive early to avoid queues

Breaks & Supervision
Pupils remain with school staff throughout the entire event, including rehearsals, mealtimes, and the performance.

Wednesday 4th February
As the children will be arriving back from the event very late, we will be authorising a later start on Wednesday 4th February for the children taking part. Children are welcome to come to school by 11am latest.

Young Voices is an incredible opportunity for pupils to perform as part of one of the largest children’s choirs in the world. We are so proud of our singers and cannot wait to see them shine on stage.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for your support,

Miss Short

Cuffley Camp Trips 2026

21/1/2026

Week commencing 2nd March is Cuffley Camp week! Each year group will take part in an outdoor activity day. The dates are below:

Monday 2nd March - Year 6
Tuesday 3rd March - Paris Class
Wednesday 4th March - Prague Class
Thursday 5th March - Year 4
Friday 6th March - Year 3

The activities will be led by staff at the centre, assisted by IVJS staff. Years 3 and 4's activities are called Climbing Wall, Shelter Building and Nightline activities. Years 5 and 6's activities are called Gladiator, Construction and Fire Building.

We are thrilled to be able to offer this trip to all pupils again as we know what an incredible experience it will be. Pupils will benefit from opportunities to develop teamwork and resilience skills through activities they may not otherwise have the opportunity to partake in. We are in the fortunate position to be able to utilise PE funding to cover the cost of the trip for all pupils and so there will be no cost to parents. The trip is costing us approximately £60 per child which includes the day at Cuffley camp, qualified instructors to run the activities and coach transport to and from the camp. We firmly believe this is a fantastic opportunity for our pupils and want all pupils to be able to engage in the experience.

If you would like to contribute towards the cost of the trip, you can do via school money. Any contributions of any size will be put back into the PE budget and used to continue to develop our provision of PE and outdoor education.

Pupils will need to arrive at school by 8:15am on the day. They will leave Cuffley Camp at 2:30pm and so should be back at school for collection by 3:15pm depending on traffic.

Pupils will need to bring:
  • A packed lunch
  • Waterproof coat
  • Wear old clothes that may get muddy
  • Trainers that will get muddy
  • A spare pair of trainers
  • A school jumper or cardigan

Please sign the paper copy of this letter that has been sent home with your child. If you do not consent for your child to attend the trip, they will be able to join another year group for the day, they will be expected to be in school.

Many thanks,

Mr Clifford

Y6 Echoes Concert

16/1/2026

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Year 6 have been selected to take part in an Echoes 11 Music event at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday 27th April, 2026. They will be singing in the Echoes Concert alongside other children from schools throughout Buckinghamshire. The concert will start at 7pm with parents welcome to attend; we will send details of how to buy tickets closer to the time.

Children will take part in both the concert on the night and a rehearsal beforehand:
Thursday 19th March
9.30am – 12.00
Kings Church, Raans Road, Amersham, HP6 6LX

Rehearsals in school will take place during music lessons and there may be some sessions if needed during an after-school club in Spring Term 2. This is an amazing opportunity for the children but it will need their commitment!
On the day of the concert, children will arrive at the Royal Albert Hall at 11am for the last full group rehearsal and stay until the event ends at approximately 9pm. After the event, the children will board the coach back to Iver Village Junior School where they can be picked up outside the school gates by parents.

If your child would like to take part in this fantastic event, please sign the form sent home with your child and return it to school by Friday 23rd January.

As we are only able to take 25 children, we will allocate places to the first 25 children who return their reply slips to school. PLEASE HAND THE FORM DIRECTLY TO MISS SHORT.

Yours sincerely,

Miss Short
