IVJS Safeguarding For Children

Safeguarding is what the staff at The Iver Village Junior School do to make sure all our pupils are safe and happy. Remember, we are a Rights Respecting School and it is our responsibility to make sure that every child has their rights respected.

But we need your help...
Don’t forget to talk to us!

This policy is to help you decide what could be a problem and who to speak with to get help. This could be anything from
getting help if you are hurt or talking though problems that are upsetting you.

We are all here at the school to help you. It is important that you know where to get help if you are worried or upset.
You can talk to any adult in the school but some staff are responsible for making sure you are safe and well cared for.
Safeguarding means we will:
We will:
  • Protect you from harm
  • Make sure nothing stops you from being happy
  • Make sure you are looked after safely
  • Make sure you have the best chances in life
What we do:
  • We will provide a safe and secure environment for you to learn and progress
  • We help to ensure that you are safe at home as well as at school
  • We think that it is important for you to know where to get help if you are worried or unhappy about something

Look for the Poster around the school, and if you would like to tell us something then you can complete an Iver Village Junior School Pupil Self Referral Form - these should be available in the shared learning areas or in class or you can download it below and print it off.
