Today's country was... Tunisia in Africa.
As usual, the day started with the Joe Wicks Workout and then a slow walk around the playground to cool down. It was then time to find out a little bit about Tunisia - Miss James gave the children some information about the country and they learnt things such as what a souk is (a market), what the climate is like in Tunisia, what geographical features the country has, what the art is like and many other interesting facts. After this, it was time for a little bit of Science - where the children learnt about kites and how forces work together to enable them to fly. This was then followed by some DT - making their own kites! The Tunisian theme was kept as the children decorated their kites with Tunisian patterns. The kites were finished by attaching a rainbow ribbon. Afterwards, they were able to write their own instructions for making a kite. Following lunch, the group did some maths work and then finished the afternoon by going outside to try out their kites - and had great fun flying them! Tomorrow we will be visiting a country in North America. Comments are closed.
