This Week In School… Year 3 – have been learning about different types of lines and angles in Maths. In English, they have started writing a letter from the perspective of Oliver from Oliver and the Seawigs. They also really enjoyed learning about Italy and the ancient Romans for their Countries Around the World Day! Year 4 – have been busy writing diary entries about Miss Flotsam and her adventures whilst stranded on a deserted island. In Maths, they have been working hard comparing and ordering decimals. They had the most amazing day on Wednesday when Year 4 travelled Down Under and celebrated Around the World Day with a look at the geography of Australia. They also created their own style of Aboriginal Art, danced to 'Give Me a Home Among the Gum trees' and even made damper bread and kangaroo burgers! Year 5 – have started writing their letter to Usain Bolt! They have also kept practising their four functions with fractions and learnt about water resistance in Science! Year 6 – have been revising their grammar and spelling skills ready for their assessment week next week. The children have also enjoyed learning all about India during our Around the World Day when they produced some great leaflets about the country and some beautiful Mehndi hand designs. They also enjoyed DT which involved making samosas - they were delicious! Comments are closed.
