This Week In School…
Year 3 – have begun to write descriptive poems about the iron man - focusing on using descriptive language, similes and metaphors. In maths we have started to use addition to find the perimeter of 2D shapes.
Year 4 – have been writing a descriptive narrative setting and have performed their Christmas production this week! What a wonderful job everyone!
Year 5 – have started writing a news script and will perform it once it is completed. In Maths, they have looked at statistics which was quite challenging! In Humanities, they have looked at how England became a unified kingdom. In Science, they have been doing an experiment which involves looking at ice hands! They looked at different materials to test the best insulator to design a new lunchbox.
Year 6 – have been working really hard doing their assessments, as well as continuing to write their newspaper reports linked to the book they are reading, 'The Last Wild' and learning how to divide fractions. They really enjoyed watching the Lower school Christmas performance at the beginning of the week - thank you Years 3 and 4!
