This week in school…
Year 3 – have been looking at how to write a great character description and put this in a story. In Maths, they have been learning how to multiply and divide. They were also very excited as they go to recreate fossils during Science! Year 4 – have been retelling the well-known fable ‘the Lion and the Mouse’ with the moral being that everything and everyone is equal and even the smallest mouse can make a difference. In Maths, they have been looking at expanded column subtraction and begun applying their skills to solve word problems. Year 5 – have enjoyed watching the Diet Coke and Mentos experiment and asking posing questions, like ‘why did that happen?’ Year 6 – have had a very busy week! Most of Year 6 are on the PGL trip while the few who stayed here at IVJS have enjoyed a week of activities including a trip to Wingroves Farm , designing their own t-shirts, baking for a cake sale and have been researching a decade of their choice for their own class project.
