Yesterday, our Year 4 Reading Gladiators competed against other schools in the local area by performing a 10 minute presentation on a book of their choice from the Reading Gladiators programme and took part in a book quiz. All of the schools involved did an amazing job with their performances but there was only one winner...

Miss Zughaid is off to start her maternity leave, Miss Manni is moving to Portugal to be nearer her Mum and Miss Bryan is moving to a school nearer home. One of our longest serving LSAs is also leaving us, Mrs Herring. Mrs Herring has worked for Bucks for over 20 years and has helped hundreds of children. We wish everyone luck in their new adventures and hope they will all stay in touch.
Today the children have met their new teachers and spent the afternoon getting to know them. I am sure that you will get to know your child’s new teacher when you see them around school and we will have a consultation evening in the autumn term for you to meet them properly. Developed by charity The Reading Agency, along with the UK public library network, it is now in its 20th year and is the UK’s biggest annual reading promotion for primary aged children. 761,758 children in the UK took part in Animal Agents, the Summer Reading Challenge 2017.
It starts on 14th July - look out for an assembly on 12th July which will tell you all how to take part. |
