Following on from last term the Joint Governor Working Party (JGWP) from Iver Village Infant and Junior Schools met on Monday 7th January. At this meeting we discussed and agreed the ‘Terms of Reference’ to ensure that the group has a clear agenda (see attached document). The group will be looking at all options on how the two schools might work more collaboratively in the interests of all our pupils moving forward.
We would like to begin this process by gathering the initial views of parents/carers about how if appropriate, the schools could work together more closely and will be holding an information evening on Wednesday 23rd January at 7pm. This meeting will be held in the hall at Iver Village Junior School. If you are unable to attend the information evening but would like your views heard, Buckinghamshire County Council have set up an email address for you to use. The address is: IVSfeedback@buckscc.gov.uk. BCC will pass these emails onto the working group so that they can be considered when discussing the way forward for the schools. Alternatively, you can write to either school with questions or comments. All parents/carers will receive an update following every Joint Governor Working Party meeting and there will be a second parent information evening towards the end of the Spring Term to hear your views. We are very grateful for your continued support and your assistance to shape the future of our village schools. It is important that we work with you and continue to provide the best education for your children. We look forward to seeing you at the information evening on 23rd January. This Week In School… Year 3 – have been beginning to write their own adventure stories based on the main character from their new book, Oliver and the Seawigs. They have had some challenging topics to overcome in this book however Year 5 have shown how truly understanding they can be towards others. They really enjoyed their Art lesson this week, which was creating their own portrait drawn in the style of Pablo Picasso. We will be holding an Information Evening for parents on Wednesday 16th January at 6pm.
