This week in school…
Year 3 – have been writing amazing persuasive letters. They have also been learning the ocarinas and can play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. In Science, they have been exploring rocks. Year 4 – have been writing their own Horrid Henry story and have looked at writing with a twist. They have also been subtracting using the column method. Year 5 – have started to investigate forces in Science. Year 6 – have created a human circuit in Science and have successfully played table tennis for the first time ever in P.E.! Click here for this week's bulletin. This term we are learning about the Victorians. In order to provide the children with a Victorian school experience, we will be having a Victorian themed day in school on Tuesday 26th January 2016.

Year 3 – have been learning about column addition and subtraction in Maths. They have also been learning about persuasive writing and created a poster advertising Iver Village Junior School. Year 4 – have looked at well-known fictional characters and have written a character description of Horrid Henry. In Maths, they have been looking at various methods of addition and begun applying these to problem solving. Year 5 – have started to look at the persuasive features used in advertising ready to create and promote their own product next week. Year 6 – have been planning to write their Science Fiction story and learning about what components make up an electricity circuit. Click here for this week's bulletin. This term, our after school clubs will be starting back with Homework club on 8th January 2016 and run through till 12th February 2016. There will be the regular fee of £2 / £3 per club or £10 / £15 per half term (5 weeks) for all clubs except Homework club which will remain free.
